DIRECTOR, CORPORATE FINANCE – FP&A – Foster City, CA
 
Our client, a F100 biotech with an impressive track record of success, is seeking a new Director, Corporate Finance – FP&A to join their team.  This position will be the finance partner in driving all Business Development and LRP planning related activities. He / She will drive contract reviews (for finance), proforma modeling and evaluation, influence financial terms and ensure alignment on all key assumptions with other finance sub functions. In addition, this person and his/her team will drive the Executive Capital Committee meetings and associated processes on monthly basis as well corporate wide capital investment forecast review with the leadership.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Finance lead supporting business development and strategic planning functions
  • Partner extensively with corporate development, legal and commercial teams to provide deal support for R&D collaboration, licensing and M&A transactions
  • Drive company’s annual Long-Term Forecast Planning (LRP) process in partnership with commercial planning and other finance sub functions (R&D finance, Tax, Treasury) to develop long term financial trends and product key insights for executive leadership
  • Act as ‘quarter back’ within finance and drive cross functional alignment within controllership, tax, treasury and operations finance functions for all BD and LRP process
  • Drive company’s capital investment governance process by managing ECC (Executive Capital Committee) meetings on monthly basis
  • Direct team of two finance professionals
 
REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • 14+ years of experience in Finance, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility
  • BS or BA is required
  • MBA is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in M&A for bio-tech or Pharma, desirable
  • Strong analytical skills and significant knowledge and understanding of US GAAP, preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
Working knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion, preferred
