Global Stock Plan Administrator – San Francisco, CA
Our client, a leader in their space, is seeking a new Global Stock Plan Administrator to join their team.  Based in downtown San Francisco, this is full-time, direct hire position, reporting to the Director, Global Equity Administration.  This position will be responsible for the daily operations of the company’s global equity plans, including but not limited to processing new stock grants, stock option exercises, RSU releases, and ESPP purchases. This role will also be responsible for maintaining the company’s equity plan database, performing periodic reconciliations, complying with Sarbanes- Oxley, and supporting global equity reporting requirements. The Global Equity Administrator will also be the primary contact person for employee questions regarding their equity plan benefits.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for administering equity plans for the global employee base, including ISO/NQs, RSUs, and ESPP
  • Primary point of contact for employee inquiries and support
  • Reconcile outstanding shares and equity plans on a monthly basis
  • Maintain the company’s equity plan database, including providing all inputs into the system and processing updates and changes
  • Interface with finance, payroll, human resources and legal organizations on matters regarding global equity plans
  • Conduct employee trainings in person, as well as via phone and web conferences
  • Drive all global equity related month, quarter, and year-end processes
  • Assist in the preparation of meeting materials for inclusion in the Compensation Committee meeting packages
  • Assist in preparing schedules for statutory and other reporting related to the company's equity plans and stock-based compensation
  • Prepare supporting schedules for equity-related journal entries
  • Implement and monitor processes, identify areas for increased efficiency
  • Support Section 16 reporting requirements
  • Support the company’s current equity plan tools, and any upgrades or migration to new systems
  • Implement and administrator new equity programs, as needed
  • Special projects, as assigned
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with global equity plans
  • Expert in Equity Edge Online
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to interact with all levels of employees
  • High degree of sensitivity and discretion in working with confidential information
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of ASC718, IRC 421, 422, and 423, and other equity accounting and tax issues
  • Familiar with SOX 404 compliance
  • Good judgement in prioritizing among multiple tasks assigned simultaneously
  • CEP Level II, preferred
  • Highly developed audit and compliance skills, a plus
  • General ledger accounting experience, a plus
